Baby Present for my Niece!
Baby Present for my Niece!
My niece, Jessica Hanes Kidd, and her husband, Matt Kidd, are expecting their first baby. The baby boy will be named ”Hollis”. He is due next month. I wanted to make him something special for his room. Jessica has always loved “John Deere” Tractors. I saw this design on the internet and thought it would be perfect. I started with a chest of drawers we had in the basement. We painted it blue and then I used my projector to shine the picture on the chest. Two days later, I had the final product. I still have to add back the hardware and the varnish so I guess it is the “almost” finished product!
I hope she likes it….. I hope Hollis likes it! Teresa Johnson Teresa@AtlantaHomeStore.com
In the beginning…. the chest was blue!
Add one laptop and a projector!
Painted the middle drawer first. Added little “Hollis” to the cart!
I hope Hollis has brown hair and the little boy driving the tractor looks like him!
Another dresser drawer painted!
Here is another drawer!
I had the top and bottom drawer without a painting. I didn’t know what to put on those drawers.
I decided that I wanted to remind Hollis, Jessica, and Matt to always “Trust in the Lord”. That is really the best advise that I can give them. And that was what Ma Cunningham told us so many times. I know how much she loved Ashley and Jessica when they were children and she kept them after school.
So I added that to the bottom drawer.
What to put on the top drawer???? My son had a few friends over and Patrick suggested “Down on the Farm”. Great idea!
The final painted chest!
